Dental Implants
Where missing teeth, irreparable decay or broken teeth occur, dental implants offer a highly successful and aesthetic solution – and they’re not as invasive as you may think.
Our team has placed more than 1,000 implants each year, and we are always delighted at the transformation in confidence and renewed day-to-day comfort our patients’ experience.
Need to know:
The type of implants is a key consideration. At Dental Lounge, we offer access to one of the world’s best; Nobel Biocare implants from Sweden, which are renowned for their innovative materiality and quality.
All On 4, Sinus Lifts and Bone Grafting
All On 4 Dental Implants
Where loose, broken teeth or ill-fitting dentures are problematic, All On 4 is a highly effective solution to restore more than one tooth. It’s a full set of upper or lower teeth – or a fixed bridge – that is placed on four supporting dental implants.
Sinus Lifts
Occasionally, when placing an implant in the upper jaw, we may need to utilise the air-filled space known as the sinus. This involves raising the floor of the sinus to create more bone support for the implant.
Bone Grafting
If you have been missing a tooth for a long time, you may need additional bone placed into the affected area, to help the implant fuse strongly. Grafting refers to the placement of additional bone to the area.
Duration: Where sinus lifts or bone grafting is needed, a period of approximately 6 months is required to complete the treatment, however this varies depending on your needs.
The Results
Nissa’s Dental Implants and Crowns
After a botched implant and crown procedure performed by a dentist overseas, Nissa turned to Dental Lounge and Dr Mark Braund for an emergency procedure to relieve the pain and correct her teeth. The careful guidance provided by Mark, as well as precise attention to detail meant that Nissa could resume life with a beautiful, comfortable smile once again.
Kathleen’s Dental Implants
With multiple missing teeth, Kathleen enlisted the help of Dr Mark Braund, who completely transformed her smile with state-of-the-art dental implants. The warm, welcoming Dental Lounge experience gave Kathleen trust and confidence in the process, and results that exceeded her expectations. “My life has changed my life for the better,” she says. “It feels so surreal and like a dream come true.”
All that is needed for the dental implant procedure to be successful is to put titanium in contact with bone, which will grow on to the implant.
At Dental Lounge, this treatment is highly collaborative and personalised. You will be guided by one of our practitioners throughout the entire process, from the initial consultation to the finished result.
Dental implants are titanium screws that are placed into the jawbone. The bone then develops with the titanium screw in place, to form a near perfect and unbreakable union. A porcelain tooth is then attached to the implant. The result is a beautiful tooth that looks and feels like a real tooth yet doesn’t decay. Depending on your needs, a sinus lift, or bone grafting may also be required.
We also offer a range of highly effective sedation methods to ensure your comfort at every stage of the treatment.

The Knowledge
A dental implant is a titanium post surgically positioned into the jawbone beneath your gum line. The final result is an artificial tooth that looks, feels, and functions like a natural tooth.
If you’d like to improve the overall colour, shape, and positioning of your smile, veneers could be the perfect solution.

Dental implants Sydney
Dental implants are a procedure to replace missing teeth. In the dental implant procedure, the root of the natural tooth is replaced with a metal cylinder shaped like a screw, which is inserted directly into the jaw and permanently replaces the missing tooth. The implant has three parts: the screw, known as post or fixture; an abutment, which is the extension of the post and connects the implant below and the implant crown; and a dental crown that artificially replaces the tooth and sits on top of the abutment.
In addition to having the same appearance, it fulfils the same function as real teeth. One of the advantages of having a dental implant is that when it is placed in the jaw, there is a bone healing process, so it fuses with the jawbone, which allows the bone density to be preserved, and there is no risk that it will slip or damage the bone.
Sydney implant cost
Dental implants cost usually vary, and it often depends on factors such as how many teeth are to be replaced, if the tooth needs to be extracted and if you need bone grafting or sinus lift. Book your complimentary consultation to discuss your dental needs.
