Dental crowns
We’re proud to offer same day porcelain crowns, thanks to the expertise of our dentists and state-of-the-art technology. The first of its kind in Sydney, this is the result of Dr Gamer Verdian’s vision to streamline and elevate the process of crowns.
Need to know:
Porcelain crowns are a highly aesthetic and durable type of ceramic that beautifully imitates the lustre, texture and appearance of a natural tooth. Zirconia is another excellent material we have available with similarly long-lasting and aesthetic qualities.
We do not use any crowns with internal metal frameworks, which creates a seamless result that won’t show discolouration at the gumline.
Duration: A single appointment lasts from 1 to 2 hours depending on unique requirements. If a crown has to be made off-site, two appointments of approximately 1 hour each will be required.
Thanks to our state-of-the-art technology and the expertise of our practitioners, your crowns experience at Dental Lounge is the first of its kind in Sydney.
As with all our treatments, your dentist will work closely with you to determine the best solution for your dental concerns. In most cases, E-MAX ceramic crowns are the most suitable. In some cases where more cosmetic intervention is needed, for front teeth, gold and partial metal crowns, an even more bespoke approach is needed.
Usually, dental crowns procedures require two appointments, two weeks apart with temporary crowns fitted in the interim. During your 1-to-2-hour appointment, your crowns will be measured, created and fitted. All you need to do is sit back and relax with a good book or watch your favourite Netflix series in between.
There are only a few special circumstances where it may be best to opt for a two-visit crown.
Crowns should be a painless procedure, and we use computer-controlled anesthetic, which detects tissue pressure with precision. It slowly releases a numbing solution and avoids the painful sting of injections and numb lips.
We also have other anesthetic options available to suit your needs and make your appointment more comfortable.

The Knowledge
A dental implant is a titanium post surgically positioned into the jawbone beneath your gum line. The final result is an artificial tooth that looks, feels, and functions like a natural tooth.
If you’d like to improve the overall colour, shape, and positioning of your smile, veneers could be the perfect solution.

Dental crowns Sydney
Dental crowns, also known as dental caps, are a restorative treatment where a custom-made ‘cap’ is placed over the existing tooth to protect and restore a tooth when it is damaged or chipped or has had root canal therapy treated on it. It also helps to prevent a structurally-compromised tooth from breaking. The dental crown procedure will repair the shape, function and overall appearance of the tooth in the long term.
What are the alternatives for a dental crown?
If there is no extensive damage to the tooth or if you have a tooth that is discoloured, your dentist may recommend a cosmetic veneer instead of a dental crown. If the tooth is chipped and there’s enough natural tooth left, you may get a filling instead. However, if left untreated, you may experience more severe dental problems, such as an infection that reaches the nerve, and you may need root canal therapy or even an extraction.
